Chase Me If You Can by Heather Frances
Welcome to storm season.
Chase Me If You Can is a phenomenal debut that hooked me once Sloane and Wes started spending real time together. The storm chasing setting is unlike anything I have read in a romance before, and the photography element added a layer that genuinely fascinated me.
Sloane is a compelling heroine who is carrying more than she lets on. Wes has had feelings for her for a long time and the slow reveal is exactly the kind of pining hero energy I live for. They are rivals who feel inevitable, and their vulnerable moments, especially when they open up about their families, are some of the most meaningful scenes in the book. The swoon factor is off the charts and that steamy photo shoot scene is unforgettable.
The book is told entirely from Sloane’s POV and while I loved being in her head, I found myself wanting even one chapter from Wes’s perspective. His feelings run so deep that seeing them from the inside would have been everything.
This is a stunning debut from Heather Frances and I cannot wait to see what she writes next.
