To Catch a Sinner by Lucy Wilson-Tagoe
We’re all sinners here.
To Catch a Sinner had me hooked from page one and I did not come up for air until the cliffhanger ending left me desperate for the next book.
Sin Sackey is a heroine I was completely invested in from the start. She has walked away from everything she built and is trying to find her footing again when the past refuses to let her go. Kwame is her perfect match in ways neither of them fully understand at first. Their lives have been running in parallel far longer than either realizes, and when they finally find their way back to each other after an early encounter, they fit together seamlessly. The romance is swoony and the chemistry is undeniable, but what makes them truly work is how deeply they understand each other.
The D.C. setting crackles with energy and the stolen artifact storyline adds a layer of intrigue that kept me completely engaged. The Ghanaian culture and history woven throughout add real depth and weight to the narrative. The family dynamics bring so much warmth to everything. Sunday dinners with Sin’s family are some of my favorite scenes in the book.
I am a longtime fan of Dylan Allen and her debut as Lucy Wilson-Tagoe did not disappoint. The suspense, the romance, and the smart, witty dialogue all come together in a story that feels both fresh and deeply satisfying.
That cliffhanger though. I need book two immediately.
