For Frat’s Sake | Riley Hart & Devon McCormack
I love when we think we know characters and when it is their turn for their HEA we get to meet them fully and are even more in love. Because this is absolutely how I felt about Dax. Dax is such a fun loving guy, always willing to chill or looking for a hookup. He is also a good friend that seems to always know what someone else needs. But this sweet sweet boy is hurting, so, so much!
Miles really is closed off- the list of people that really know him is so small. It was pretty clear that he also has had his heart broken, but his response was to become recluse and push people away from him. As we get to know Miles more we learn more about Miles. He really has a huge heart, desperately wants to love, and enjoys art which was not something I had anticipated with him.
Sometimes in series the other characters or friend groups can really take over the book, but not in this one. While the other boys played a role the focus is really on Dax & Miles building their connection and learning about one another. I thoroughly enjoyed how they were laser focused on each other. While their connection and relationship may have started as just physical it quickly morphed into more…and the way they each opened up to the other was written so well. They both relieved themselves, their past, and the things most painful to them. If you love little adversaries to lovers, where one has no idea why they are adversaries with a lot of heart and palpable connection I would highly recommend this book! In fact, I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole series and hope we get more from the Peach State frats!
