Lonesome Ridge by Maisey Yates

A swoony Rustler Mountain romance where the Hancock–Wilder feud finally takes center stage.

Lonesome Ridge is my favorite book in the Rustler Mountain series so far. Maisey Yates leans fully into the Hancock–Wilder feud, blending small-town politics and old grudges in a way that feels natural and engaging.

Jessie Jane Hancock and Flynn Wilder are a great match. Both have complicated family histories, and I loved how similar they are beneath all the friction. Their chemistry is strong from the start, and while there is tension, it never tips into unnecessary relationship drama. The balance between outside conflict and emotional payoff worked very well for me.

The fake relationship tied to the mayoral race adds a fun layer without overwhelming the romance, and watching their partnership turn real was deeply satisfying. It all comes together in a way that made this an especially enjoyable read. I’m excited for Cassidy’s book to close things out.
