Chasing the Ring by Lauren Rowe
A spicy football romance with a vacation fling, single-dad hero, and found family elements.
Chasing the Ring is a fun, flirty vacation romance that leans into rom-com chaos and delivers plenty of heat. Iris fleeing her own viral wedding disaster straight into a surprise bungalow mix-up with NFL quarterback Roman is exactly the kind of escapism I enjoy, and their no-strings fling in Hawaii is spicy, hilarious, and emotionally open in a way that mostly works.
Roman is a solid single-dad hero, but I found myself most invested in the family dynamics and the low-drama approach to co-parenting, which added a nice layer of stability to the story. I absolutely adored his family, and I’m hoping we get future books for his brothers. The chemistry between Iris and Roman is strong, but once they commit, the tone shifts a bit sweeter and sappier than I prefer, and some of the football timeline jumps briefly pulled me out of the story.
Overall, this is a light, spicy football romance with humor, heart, and a strong supporting cast. If you’re in the mood for a vacation fling that turns real and a single-dad setup with low external drama, Chasing the Ring is an enjoyable, easy read.
