Review: An Unexpected Everything by Carrie Ann Ryan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An Unexpected Everything might just be my favorite Carrie Ann Ryan book ever—and I’ve read nearly all of them. I was already hooked on the Cage Family series after Book 1, but this one? It wrecked me in the best way.
Weston and Isabella’s story is an emotional, sizzling, second-chance romance with all the messy, protective family dynamics I crave. This book gave me the same addictive, can’t-look-away feeling I had when I first started the Wilder Brothers series—but somehow turned up the heat and the heart.
Isabella is such a layered heroine—fierce, loyal, used to taking care of everyone around her, even when it’s at her own expense. Watching her learn to let go and accept help, especially from her new brothers and from Weston, was genuinely moving. Weston, by the way? Book boyfriend material. Full stop. His quiet strength, the regret he carries, the way he steps up the moment Isabella reenters his life… It’s the stuff second chance dreams are made of.
Their shared history and all the unspoken longing made every scene between them sizzle—and yes, I’m calling it: this might be Carrie’s hottest book yet. 🔥 The tension? The spice? Chef’s kiss.
What really stayed with me, though, was the emotional journey. This book is about more than rekindling love—it’s about healing, trust, chosen family, and learning to let yourself be loved. I couldn’t put it down.
If you’re into:
✅ Second chances
✅ Protective, emotionally wounded heroes
✅ Smart, capable heroines
✅ Big, complicated families
✅ Small-town romantic suspense
✅ And some seriously steamy scenes…
Then An Unexpected Everything will absolutely deliver.
I’m already counting down the days until the next Cage sibling gets their book!
