WTF by Cambria Hebert
Rating: 4.5/5 PoP: 34% A Male/Male Westbrook Elite Standalone
Winston Sinclair left part of his heart in Sweden, he just does not want to acknowledge it. Lars Eriksson has only felt safe when in the presence of Win and will do anything to keep it. Even if it means transfer across the ocean to Westbrook. This novel is a standalone but I really suggest that you read the whole series to fully understand the found family dynamic. The end of Max and Wes’ story leads nicely into this one.
There are some trigger warnings. We got the story of Win and Wes losing their parents in Wish. Lars has his own demons that he is fighting. And given the need for caramel lattes, you just know things are going to get ugly. I feel that Cambria excels at the hurt/comfort trope. It runs through all the Westbrook books but it is different each time.
Win is such a lovable guy but beneath it, he is the same as everyone else. Afraid of getting hurt. Lars has made a great leap of faith but behaves maturely when things do not go his way. The love between these characters is palpable. Win could have fought his feelings for Lars and few people would be the wiser. However, I love that he ended up taking his own advice. These two are made for each other and I hope we get a peek at them in future Westbrook books.
