There are some books in the Happily Ever Alpha World that work really well, and some that don’t hold up to the standard that I believe they should.
Until Tucker stands up extremely well. Tucker and Sydney meet when Sydney moves back to Murfreesboro after some huge life events. She is hiding out in a sense but is unable and unwilling to share her story until later in the book. Tucker is friends with Wes (Until July) and part of his MC. Once Tucker sees Sydney, he is done… THE BOOM strikes again. Sydney has a little girl that Tucker takes to as well. Sydney tries extremely hard to fight her attraction to Tucker because she is afraid that her past will come back to hurt him… In some ways it does, but at the same time all she needs is some faith in their connection. EM Shue worked these side characters into the Aurora Rose Reynolds world extremely well, and I was excited to see them pop up. The connection with them made sense and wasn’t forced. This was my first EM Shue book, but I will definitely give her another read.
