Stubborn Puckboy | Eden Finley & Saxon James

I was not prepared for the range of emotions that I felt while reading this book.  OMG- Novi literally broke my heart.  This tough exterior of a man is the biggest softie in the history of all softie’s….even if his face will never let you know it! (LOL)

Radimir Novicov, also known as Novi around the league, was a hockey star from the beginning. Leaving his home country of Russia to play in the NHL was his dream. But he also holds a secret that if his home country knew would put his family in grave danger. So he plays hockey and that is his life. But that doesn’t mean he still has forgotten the one that got away in the AHL.  And the night he almost gave into his temptations.

Colby Kissinger had dreams of playing in the NHL, and those dreams may have been dashed but the NHL was still the goal…but instead of playing he is coaching. He got his big chance, and he is coaching the one man he can never forget about. Novi.

I really love how these two danced around one another, but the pull towards one another was so evident. Colby and Novi were simply amazing and literally never stopped surprising me. And their banter is so top tier! Of course with any Finley James book there is a lot of shenanigans and hilarity but there is also a lot of deep emotions and so much heart. I laughed and I cried. This book really pulled at my heartstrings, and really made my heart hurt. Love is love. Everyone deserves to be loved in the most pure way. I didn’t think I could possibly love someone as much as I love Ezra, but Novi literally said “hold my beer”!  I don’t know what else to say, but READ THIS BOOK. Do you need to read the other books, no, but you are going to want to because this collection of queer men is unmatched. UNMATCHED! Finley and James have built the best found family, and reading their books always feels like you are hanging out with friends as they tell you the story of how they ended up with their person. I don’t think that I could say I have a favorite in this series, but this one.  WOW this book really blew me away!
