Review: The Little Things by Jessica Prince
Jessica Prince delivers a fantastic start to her second-generation Second Hope series with The Little Things! Balancing the beloved characters and setting from the original series while introducing new ones can be tricky, but Jessica handles it seamlessly. Fans will love the glimpses of familiar faces and Safe Haven Ranch, while Rae and Zach’s fresh, opposites-attract romance takes center stage.
The fish-out-of-water trope is done perfectly here—Rae never veers into “too stupid to live” territory, which makes her growth so satisfying. Her determination to prove herself paired with Zach’s grumpy yet irresistible cowboy charm creates a dynamic that’s both engaging and swoony. Their differences make their journey to finding common ground and falling for each other even more compelling.
I couldn’t put this one down and can’t wait to see what’s next in the Second Hope series. Whether you’re new to Jessica Prince or a longtime fan, this book is a must-read for small-town romance lovers!
Blurb Recap: Rae’s life is turned upside down when her parents cut her off and send her to work at Safe Haven Ranch under Zach Paulson, a grumpy cowboy with a heart of gold. Determined to prove she’s more than a spoiled socialite, Rae sets out to find herself—and ends up finding love.
