Forbidden Puckboy | Eden Finley & Saxon James

One of my favorite parts of the Puckboy series is how Eden Finley & Saxon James introduce us to the main characters of the next book.  Our introduction to Emerson Kikishkin after he proudly sported Pride Tape during a game, and his older brother went off on the media. These two were going to be amazing.  However, I was not prepared for so many tears and emotions.  Friends, Finley and James brough the feelings … I thought they were allergic to feelings like me but I was wrong; and I am not at all sad about being wrong.

Knox Addison has been best friends with Connor Kikishkin for what seems like forever, so having a crush on your best friend’s younger brother.  The brother that he is uber protective of .  Knox always thought the NHL was his dream, but his dream shifted and he is part of hockey by refereeing the games.  Emerson is the middle brother of the Kikishkin family, and being in the shadow of his overprotective hotheaded brother is really starting to get on his last nerve.  I really felt for Emerson, and 100% understood his need to live his own life.  Emerson has had a long time crush on his brothers best friend, Knox.
As Emerson and Knox work hard not to acknowledge their long crush on one another, but as the pair spend more and more time together the feelings they have for one another were very hard to ignore.  I really like how this romance played out and how the tow navigated Knox’s relationship with Connor.  While it really upped the angst, it was so very well worth it.  This was so well written and totally pulled on the heart strings.  Knox and Emerson had to address some really hard conversations and admit their feelings early on and it really felt like this cemented their relationship.  Emerson
I had never really considered the amount of travel or how a professional hockey referee’s schedule may look.  Finley and James did an amazing job of highlighting this aspect of their job, along with the backlash from crazy hockey fans! This series just keeps getting better and the banter from the collective just makes my heart so happy!!! This is a must read series for any hockey romance fan!
