Hayden Prescott is existing. Not living just existing. There are things happening around her that slowly dim her light each and every time she opens her eyes. Her best friend basically forces her to sign up for a class with Blackbridge Security, and there she meets Quentin Lake. She is instantly attracted to him, but doesn’t want to be. He is instantly attracted to her, and doesn’t understand why she keeps herself closed off. What follows is a great story of self-love, discovery, strength, and of course we get the usual antics of Puff Daddy. These two are perfect for each other, and bring out the best of each other. This is one of my favorite series that has the suspense that I love, but isn’t so heavy that I am drowning in chaos when I am finished with the book. There are just a couple more guys left, and can’t wait to see what Marie James has in store for us.
