Broken- Manhattan Ruthless | Sadie Kincaid

When we met Nathan James in Keres I was so very intrigued by him. Nathan is a little bit of an enigma. He exudes power, money, intelligence, and badassery.  And my friends, Nathan James did not disappoint.  At all.  Oh my goodness I wasn’t really prepared for the level of intensity that this man gave us.  Nathan James knows what he wants from life, but isn’t exactly sure how to go about it.  Growing up in a home with wonderful parents that loved each other he saw the pain his father endured after losing his mother, so he is set on never loving.

Melanie Edison is such a light, and I adored her calmness, how down to earth she is, she is genuine, and her kindness towards everyone.  She clearly has a light that draws people in. Melanie very quickly wrapped not only Nathan but the whole James clan around her finger with her genuine loving heart.

I am a huge sucker for a marriage of convenience, so when Sadie dropped the blurb for this book I was giddy with excitement.  And this premise is everything. However, I might have a little bit of a bone to pick with Ms. Kincaid as she put Nathan and Melanie along with readers through the ringer.  But boy was it worth every tear and lost minute of sleep!  When I tell you these two have been on my mind from the moment I sat down to read the book, I am not kidding.  I knew I could have binged this book (all 396 pages) in one sitting, but I really wanted to savor it.  These two have a pull towards one another, each being able to read the other so well each instinctively knowing what the other needs. While Nathan is usually ruthless he is kind and fiercely protective of Melanie;  when he says “my wife” I melted.  Melanie brought out so many different sides of Nathan that he doesn’t let others see, and he didn’t even know he actually had.  He quickly comes to think of Melanie as his partner and friend, turning to her to just talk and spend time with.  And for a man that was set on not falling in love that is very inconvenient for him; but this man cannot stay away from Melanie and honestly for good reason.  These two have amazing chemistry both in the bedroom and outside of the bedroom. Melanie encourages Nathan to take himself and life so seriously and enjoy his life.   Nathan allows Melanie to be 100% herself and adores her for exactly who she is.  Of course, in their world of power and money it seems like everything is a game, and not everyone around them is willing to allow them to bask in their happiness.

As for spice, Sadie brought it all! Nathan and Melanie had a real hard time keeping their hands to themselves and it was so very very hot and I was 100% here for it.  There is so much to say about Nathan and Melanie, but I truly do not want to ruin a single page of it for you-  I simply adored this book.  So if you love a sassy heroine, an alpha billionaire that falls head over heels, a marriage of convenience, an amazing family of siblings (that will make you want their book tomorrow) then this is the book for you! If you are new to Sadie Kincaid this is a perfect place to start as this is book 1 in a new series … .and while you wait for the next book you can binge her other books!
