Cold Redemption by Nalini Singh

Cold Redemption is proof that Nalini Singh can do no wrong, even when one of the main characters isn’t a changeling. Pax and Amara pulled me right back into the Psy-Changeling world, and I loved every minute.

As the Scarab Syndrome pushes Pax closer to psychic collapse, Amara may be his last hope. These two are fascinating characters on their own, but I loved seeing them together. They understand each other in ways few others could, and their connection is built on trust as much as attraction. Watching them break free from the cruel programming that shaped their lives and discover something neither expected was a highlight for me.

The romance had me hooked, but the larger implications for the Psy kept me just as invested. Singh brings the Scarab arc closer to its conclusion in a way that left me wanting more.

The ending was perfect, and I cannot wait to see what this new version of the Net brings. Ten books in, this is a series I never want to end.
