All Superheroes Need Photo Ops by Elizabeth Stephens
Elizabeth Stephens continues to impress me with this world. It’s bold, imaginative, and unlike anything else in romance right now. She blends contemporary life with alien chaos and superhero energy in a way that feels fresh and addictive. If you love Marvel, DC, or anything with capes and questionable moral compasses, this series hits the spot.
Taranis is the exact kind of character who keeps me hooked.
He’s arrogant. Unpredictable. Possibly a villain. Honestly, I still don’t know if he’s a good guy by the end of the book. And that is what makes him so compelling. But the second Monika enters the scene, he snaps into focus–well sort of–he doesn’t realize he snaps into focus. He softens in a way only she gets to see. His version of sweet may be… unconventional, but it works.
Monika is incredible.
She’s strong, capable, and absolutely done letting anyone limit her. I adore her spirit. She never backs down. Never shrinks. And she knows her value and doesn’t apologize for it. Watching her go toe-to-toe with Taranis is pure joy.
Their chemistry hits fast. It hits hard. It stays sharp through the entire story. Nothing about their relationship is easy, and that’s exactly why it works. They challenge each other. They frustrate each other. And yet, they fall anyway.
The worldbuilding remains top-tier. Stephens gives us heroes and villains, but she also blurs the line between them. It keeps the tension high and the stakes personal. This is a universe I want more of—one I wish existed outside the page.
And let me shout out the audiobook. Emery Erickson and Sean Crisden deliver. They bring Monika and Taranis to life with depth, fire, and perfect comedic timing. Their performance elevates the entire story. Disappointment will not happen when you grab this book!
