Gentry | Ashley James

I have absolutely devoured every single Moore Men book that James has released, but I just knew that Gentry’s book was going to be special and I was not wrong. I don’t know what I expected from Gentry Moore but he surprised me in the best possible way. Gentry is steady, predictable and loves his ranch and his family more than anything. So much so that he lives for the ranch and his kids.

Remi has a giant heart and I think that he needs to learn to trust himself. He has big life changing decisions to make. The way he takes Lukas in, loves him and becomes the best guardian literally melted my heart. 

While Gentry and Remi have known each other for years I love that they sort of had a little “meet cute” where they got to see one another in a completely different environment.  This most defiantly leveled the playing field so to speak and really allowed Gentry to be vulnerable in turn Remington was vulnerable with Gentry. I really felt that their connection and playful banter really added to their relationship because while Remi cared deeply for Gentry he also loves to push his buttons … .a lot! And Gentry most definitely loved having his buttons pushed, too/ The tension between these two was palpable  and when Daddy Moore finally gave in oh my goodness was it glorious! Remington and Gentry on the outside seemed like an unlikely pair but they really provided one another a safe space to be themselves and so very quickly became each other’s home. I was not expecting to be as emotional as I read their story but I cried several times as these two navigated their new role in each other’s lives.  If you love an age gap, small town, grumpy cowboys, a lot of heart and some serious dirty talking this most definitely needs to be on your radar!

I’ve spent my life doing the right thing.  Wanting him is the first thing that’s ever felt impossible to resist.
